Trees and knees...

It’s the first week in May .

That can only mean two things - blossom on the trees and the Met Gala.

Because where I live is so far above sea level, the blossom is always slow to appear but when it does it fills my heart with joy.

One of my favourite trees finally came into bloom this week. I love it because it’s so perfectly tree shaped, I know that sounds a strange thing to say but it’s almost like a perfectly pruned bonsai that has been supersized. It is positively groaning with blossom. I stood under it last night looking up for as long as I could, without appearing too peculiar to passers by.

Next up is the Met Gala, which I look forward to every year to see just how badly the celebrities have failed to honour the brief. In all good conscience, I cannot even begin to attempt an exegesis of the event. There is only one woman the world for that - our beloved Sister Wolf.

If you doubt me for even a single second, then read what she said to say about the Grammy Awards here. Her line about ‘Madonna’s stocky old leg’ had me laughing so hard, that I seriously thought I was going to do myself a damage.

However I can’t resist commenting on a couple of looks.

Poor old JLo looked like a Mother of the Bride who was trying WAY to hard to be edgy. Deary deary me.

At the total opposite end of the spectrum is Kirsten Stewart. I’m not normally a fan but she totally nailed by showing that less is more and you don’t need to look like you tried too hard. Fabulous.

You would need to have been living under a rock these last few months, not to realise that we are all living in the world of Pedro Pascal right now. He seems beloved by all, men and women alike.

He appears to have broken the internet with his Valentino outfit which features his’ slutty little knee

I on the other hand coudnt’t stop thinking about Kraftwerk. That shirt and tie were going me serious Man Machine vibes…

I suppose The Met was too grand an occasion to expect him to wear a cardigan. I for one was disappointed, the man can seriously rock a granny cardigan…
