Collected And Amassed

Kristabel Plummer is a knitwear graduate from Nottingham Trent University, and blogger. Her work is inspired by the idea of collecting and amassing, which results in lots of layered colours and texture.

"I wanted to explore the idea of collections, the way multiple objects relate to each other and the different sources they originate from. I really wanted to get across the obsession and scale of amassed objects and how unexpected elements are united together.  This also relates to the way people share photos and content online and create their own personal spaces, full of elements picked out from elsewhere. I focused on how things can be stored and noticed linear themes within bookcases, which I then translated into knitted textures and shapes"
