Bottega Veneta and The Betterware Man...

I never thought I would see the day, when I would be writing a post combining Bottega Veneta and Betterware in the same sentence.

But as we always say in The Kingdom - "never say never"

Enjoying my first flick throughthe August (I know! freakin' August!!!!) Edition of Harpar's Bazaar earlier today my attention was grabbed by this stunning scarlett bag...

I was first captivated by the colour and then the fact that the bag seemed quite a departure from their usual style. By that I mean that it seemed 'deconstructed', which given how masterful the construction is, on each and every artisan bag they produce, is quite a departure indeed.

It goes without saying that for the bag and I, it was love at first sight.

But then, my eye was caught by something else.

It was caught by what I can only call 'bobbles' I looked closely at the top and skirt, blinked my eyes and then looked again. What in the Veneta was going on here, I wondered aloud. This outfit looks like she has just rescued it from a dog bed. It's a bobble marathon or a bobblathon if you will...

I'm presuming it is boiled textured wool.

I have to say I'm a big fan of boiled wool, but taken to this degree and all I can think is "better call the Betterware man and order me up a debobbler..."

Until I can figure out what the hell is going on here, or someone explains to me, I shall just concentrate all my attention on the glorious crimson bag and take care not to look up.

Look at the bag.

Just look at the pretty bag...
