Do Not Forget Them

Colour blocking is always referred as a trend, but it crops up season after season in some form or another, I think it's far surprassed trend status. There is no denying there is a lot of joy to be found in an outfit with beautiful colour blocking.

Sadly I don't have enough solid colour in my own closet to colour block very effectively but I certainly admire it when I see it done well on other people.

Designer Laura de Wit has used stunning colouring blocking in her c0llection, Do Not Forget Them, as she explores traditional Dutch costume.

Using traditional cuts and tailoring, she has updated the silhouettes with exaggerated pleating and bright hues giving the clothing a very modern feel, while staying true to techniques which have been used in Dutch costume making for centuries.
