treasures of the sea and sky...
I want to start the week sharing the charming work of Sabina Savage.
Born in rural Somerset, Sabina grew up in a creative home surrounded by nature in it’s purest form. This environment ignited and encouraged her creativity from an early stage.
At the age of 18, and despite speaking no French, Sabina took the bold step of moving to Paris to pursue her dream of studying couture design and techniques at a prestigious fashion school. After graduating in 2011 at the top of her year and winning the coveted Nouvelle Couture Award, she moved back to England to work for several top fashion houses, including Alexander McQueen and Gareth Pugh
Sabina’s sincere love of fashion, drawing and hand laboured art work has led to her self titled scarf line which places huge emphasis on hand finishing, exquisite fabrics and high quality production, alongside her elaborate hand drawn prints.
All her work is hand designed in the UK and printed in Como, Italy and now you can can find it at the wonderful wondeful Wolf and Badger
You can also take a closer look at her elaborate work in much more detail on her facebook.
Of course it will come as no surprise that my heart is especially captured by the all the birds...
Her work is so lifelike you can almost smell the sea and hear the wind ruffle the feathers of the birds.
Simply wonderful...
