Behind The Masque
I have featured the work of the wonderful Larissa Hadjio quite a few times on here over the years. The humour in her work is infectious and before you know it you find yourself wanting to carry a lobster shaped bag. The German born designer possesses a rather charming and unique outlook, which she injects into her creative thought process, resulting in these adorably quirky accessories, season after season.
Larissa studied Fine Art at Central St Martins and has been living and working in London ever since. She worked for Fashion Magazine Intersection and as an Art Director before launching her the label in 2010.
I have her gorgeous Mascha Diamond bag in the most stunning shade of seafoam turqouise. Every time I carry it, it certainly piques people's curiousity due to the unusual diamond shape.
Her most recent collection, Masque, has to be my favourite to date though. Abstract faces adorn this wonderful collection of bags and small accessories. Her colours are always very well considered too and even though some bags have several colours within them, they would still work with most wardrobes, even relatively neutral ones. Of course, warbrobes with no humour need not apply...
