sparkle season...
So the Season of The Sparkle is upon us.
Oh how Queen Michelle and I loved this time of year. Every weekend and late night shopping opportunity would be given over to finding the perfect New Year's Eve outfit.
Christmas we could take or leave, but New Year was the biggest night of our dressing up year. No shop was left unvisited, no rail left unrifled as we ploughed through a seasonal mountain of sequins, sparkles and velvet until we found that perfect outfit.
I felt quite melancholy at the weekend when it dawned on me, how long it's been since we had a proper New Years Eve big night out
It's pretty safe to say that if I had come across this Florence Bridge Greta Trapeze Dress then my search would have instantly been over.
I adore this dress. Adore it.
Needless to say by the time I stuck it on over a pair of black trousers and sneakers, it wouldn't have looked quite so delicate and charming but hey ho...
Greta Trapeze Party Dress by Florence Bridge. Black long sleeved sheer silk organza trapeze dress with hand sewn silver crystal embellishment. Layers over simple black micro fibre slip dress with eyelash lace insert and spaghetti cross back strap detail.

With each and every single piece sourced, printed, created and finished by hand right here in the UK, Florence has a very defined English directive for her brand. And she has her feet firmly on humorous ground too, believing that above all else: 'Fashion Should Be Fun'. Small wonder then that her clothes are so appealing.
For Queen Michelle, I would choose this Nasty Gal dress below. Yes she might be a bit warm dancing around the club in this but she would surely love the drama of these sleeves...
Nasty Gal Kiss and Bell Mini Dress - Black
If these don't put you in the mood for finding your own perfect party dress, I don't know what will!
