Day one....
I am the least sporty creature on the entire planet.
Yet I'm always slightly intrigued to see how sportswear brands continue to tempt people to part with to part with their hard earned cash season after season. Adidas do it better than most.
Say hello to their “Day One” capsule collection that apparently will act "as an intersection between sports and leisure-wear" It's intended to “explore, elevate and celebrate a new facet of the Adidas DNA.” Oh good grief, just take a look, there's no need to start talking about DNA...
The running range yields sport apparel essentials and exclusive adidas footwear offerings. Constructed of a singular quilted fabric made in Japan, the ultralight jacket is imagined as autumn’s ultimate zip-up with utility pockets, 2-way zips, reflective 3-stripe details, and adidas Climalite technology. The utility jacket is a minimalist re-envisioning of the city slicker’s parka, composed of a breakthrough, laminated woven fabric and complete with storm cuffs, storm-proof closures, and adjustable elements. The Tech Bomber is triple-layer insulation in a functional rib fabric that promises lightweight warmth and breathability.
When it comes to footwear, the Ado Pure Boost ZG features a Prime Knit camouflage upper and Pure Boost tooling. What the hell "pure boost tooling " means, I have no idea!!!!
The outdoor collection offers a more substantial outerwear collection and the season’s quintessential hiking boot. The rainproof, windproof Gore Parka is an outdoor-intended coat featuring uniquely thoughtful details, like a touch-sensitive iPhone pocket, as well as articulated sleeves and adjustable, storm-proof elements. The Storm Shell is a modern anorak boasts details like a dropped back hem and a transparent front pocket for an iPad or documents.
Right that's more than enough activity and good health for a Saturday. I'm heading to my Mother and Fathers to eat cake. It is my Dad's birthday and my Mum and Dad's Wedding Anniversary. You would think he would have no excuse to forget their anniversary, yet as I type this right now, he has just left to head for the shops to buy my mum a card and a present!!!
