cover it up….
Looking at my speakers the other day, with their sad old bashed in bass drivers, I idly wished I could cover them up so they could look a bit prettier. Fast forward to that night, poking about on pinterest I came across this-
Oh dear Lord, Timorous Beastie speaker covers for Linn.
I am normally pretty mellow about being of 'modest means' but this kind of thing makes me wish I was seriously better off.
The wonderful Timorous Beasties were invited by world-renowned music systems manufacturer Linn to collaborate on a series of speaker covers for their Series 5 music system.
Great sound never looked so good
With 10 distinctive designs, now you can customise the look of your Series 5 system and enjoy astonishing performance with exceptional style.
The range features 10 designs in a choice of two music system models: 530 System and 520 System. Each design was hand-printed at the Timorous Beasties studio or digitally printed at Glasgow School of Art's Centre for Advanced Textiles onto specially made Linn Fabrik, combining expert craftmanship and design innovation without compromise.
Linn Products, based near Glasgow, was founded in 1973 by Ivor Tiefenbrun and has been producing world-class music systems ever since.
Each Series 5 System with a Timorous Beasties cover is handmade to order and production may take up to six weeks. Needless to say this kind of joy does not come cheap. A 520 system can be yours from £9600...
I would love to 'make a statement' but until that lottery win comes through, me and my sad bashed old missions are just going to have to get on with it.
