rebel rebel...

After Queen Michelle's look at Style tribes yesterday, it would be rude not to share the Ellery Spring 17 collection today.

Designer Kym Ellery explained her collection saying -

"No matter where you come from, it is the rebellious individuals in society who spark the birth of a counterculture.
This season I am inspired by those who influence the rise of positive subculture. The poets. The thinkers. The rebels”

For Spring ’17, notorious Japanese girl gangs were the starting point for setting a defiant and wayward tone. The distinctive new retro-modern Ellery silhouette was taken to new levels with volume shifts with tethered bubble sleeves, hourglass coats, fish-tail skirts and gently ruched dresses. Flares are anchored with chunky gold zips and elongated with speed stripes.
Ruffles, studs and bike-chain details ,contrast topstitching, metal brooches, glossy rings with coloured resin stones, custom orchid studs and the brand’s signature zig-zag embroidery all giving things a slightly tougher edge than usual.

Oh Lordy that's a whole lot of look below - just check those hammer pants combined with cheekbones that could cut cheese...

This season we looked at those who were mad enough to dare and bold enough to be different. The leaders who still seek revolt and revolution.

Well said Kym, well said...
