When it comes to love.

I'm slow.

Super slow. Lordy, in many ways I'm a non starter.

Which is why it's taken me years to get round to sharing this. I was looking through one of my own boards on pinterest which I never really do, but I will try to do more often because at the risk of stating the obvious it's like opening a big box of chocolates where every one of them is a favourite. There are no coffee creams in there. But I digress.

In the spirit of a belated Valentine, take a look at the wonderful 12 Months of Neon Love

This collaborative project by UK artists Richard William Wheater and Victoria Lucas began on Valentines Day 2011 on the rooftops of the Neon Workshops studio in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.

Using lyrical statements borrowed from well-known songs, the studio placed the neon sentiments atop of the roof. They were presented in large red neon text, so that they were visible from passing trains travelling through Wakefield. On the 14th of each month, the unique neon works were then auctioned off on eBay. I so wish I had bought one...
