sniff out some fun

In my house nothing matches.

Plates, cups,bowls, saucers. They are all different. All sizes, shapes, colours and sizes. This is not because I'm not interested, it's actually the very opposite. So smitten am I by bone china and ceramics that each every day item in my cupboards is a gift or has been chosen because it is special or makes me smile.

Designed and made by Egbert-Jan Lam and and  Jorine Oorsterhoff these snout cups bring a big smile to my face.

“These aren’t ordinary cups. They are a bit evil. Unseen they play a game with you. Giving you a funny face of a piggy, dog or a bear while you drink your tea. You won’t notice it until people around you start to giggle. We think design doesn’t necessarily have to be serious. Putting a smile on peoples face with our products is a very valuable thing for us.”

As big animal lovers, they donate an amount from every pig snoutcup sold to Pigs in Need,a dutch organisation who cares about good health of pigs. The snoutcups are produced by them in the Netherlands.

There are 7 different animal snoutcups, a pig, cat, dog, bunny, cow, bear and monkey. 

Each snout cup is made from matt porcelain and is glazed on the inside. You can let your inner animal out for only €17.95. 

I think I would need to go pig snout all day long, which creature would you choose?
