SCHOOL DAZE

Thom Browne is one of those labels I don't care for much consistently but with some collections he creates things that excite and inspire me. His Resort 2014 collection for example contains so many amazing looks that it still inspire me even now.

His Resort 2018 collection looked like a posh school uniform - preppy and perhaps a little to literal in places for me personally - however there were some key looks that takes his penchant for tailoring and added a quirky touch with mixed plaids and layered pleats.

Layered pleated plaids is definitely a key takeaway from this collection for me, paired with embroidered silk and tweeds. That's a whole fantastic look for autumn.

To augment the preppiness of the collection, Browne uses the tennis racket motif throughout, adding a humorous touch. The silver sequinned blazer adorned with tennis rackets and, oddly, sausage dogs, is an item I'd kill to have in my wardrobe for sure.
