FINDING INSPIRATION
IN THE CHAOS

Firstly, thank you to Queen Marie for holding down the fort this last week. As you know, I have been busy moving house. To say it was awful would be the understatement of the century. I'm certain there is actually a 10th ring of hell Dante forgot to include and it's moving house. I'm still living out of boxes and chaos and will be for quite some time.

For these reasons I haven't had time to do any research to bring you content so this is a short and sweet post featuring a little mood/inspiration board.

I have been buying lots of house shit. I have mixed feelings about decorating and furnishing the flat to be honest. I haven't experienced joy in buying stuff for the flat yet because in my mind house stuff is just necessity and so I'm not that excited about it. I did buy a beautiful replica Harry Bertoia chair and vintage sideboard, which is giving me mild feels, bit nothing close to a new pair of shoes, for example. However I have been pinning interiors on my Pinterest in an attempt to get excited. Clearly I favour interiors which have a kind of touchy-feely element to them such a sheepskin, concrete and reclaimed wood. Whether any of that actually makes it's way into my own house remains to be seen but I do know that I need to rid myself of the grey Damask feature wall the previous tenant bestowed upon me.

I haven't been paying any attention to fashion things for a while either but I do know I am all about belts over blazers, or harness in my case. I am also loving the floral and lace Fausto Puglisi dress and those massive ruffled Chanel sleeves. And I could live in that pink lace Giambattista Valli dress. Every. Single. Day. Leather trousers with western boots is a fail-safe look for me and Jo Ellison is rocking it perfectly here.

I'm not sure I'll get to shoot an outfit this weekend but if I can make my through the chaos that is the spare bedroom then I might be able to shoot one. Pray for me.
