LITKOVSKAYA SS18 LAURA
One of the more positive things about growing older, is that your points of reference are older and more extensive too. That was only one of a million reasons why I loved Bill Cunningham so much. He never forget a look and could reference designers and collections from half a century ago in a heartbeat.
Long story short, when I looked a this collection I was filled with longing for my old Workers for Freedom dress. Oh how I loved them.
But back to the preset - I’ve got quite a weakness for LITKOVSKAYA.
I think we have featured her a few times on The Kingdom. And as always it’s the element of craft and the meticulous details combined with asymmetry and bold shapes that appeal. In many ways this SS18 is a softer collection, even visually laconic and with stress all around us, that can only be a good thing.
The website is being rebuilt at the moment but you can download the lookbook here.
