More hot air...
Donald Trump baby blimp in flight...
As you know President Trump has arrived in the United Kingdom and as I type this the Trump Baby Blimp should be in the air
He is being flown by protestors objecting to Trump's visit, and London Mayor Sadiq Khan has given permission for the helium-filled six-metre (19.7ft) high balloon to fly.
Campaigners raised almost £18,000 to pay for the inflatable and more than 10,000 people signed a petition calling for the inflatable to be given permission to fly, but some have described it as "a disgrace" and "disrespectful."
The balloon is to be tethered to the grounds of Parliament Square Gardens and will also be restricted from floating higher than 30 meters (98 feet). It will fly between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. local time on Friday 13 July, coinciding with a "Stop Trump" march in central London.
The crowdfunding page has claimed that with the cash they have now raised, a second “flight” may be possible somewhere within Trump’s eyesight during his visit, maybe near one of his golf courses!
Demonstator Sheila Menon, who is part of a group who crowdfunded the balloon, said:
"We know that behind the humour of this the Trump baby represents a whole multitude of campaigns and issues.This isn't just about mocking him.This is actually about drawing attention to his fascist policies, policies that he's putting into place like nobody's business since he's been in power. Policies that are having very real impacts on real lives not just in the US but all over the world."
She listed Mr Trump's immigration policies, bans on some people entering the US, his foreign policies, and lack of support for taking action on climate change as having affects across the globe.
I doubt the giant orange baby will phase The President for a heartbeat, especially not after hearing him say that "British people like me a lot"
* sigh*
