Some young designers seem to come out the bag, fresh and ready to sell, whereas others need further cultivation with ideas that are so pure in form but ultimately too expensive to ever really be successful, unless they can leap straight into the luxury market.

Carrie Kwok definitely falls into the former category but somehow manages to keep purity of concept with her label CAR|2IE.

Her clothing looks like a more luxurious, more involved version of the Sister Jane aesthetic. Expect ruffles, tweed, velvet, pastels, sheer fabrics in endlessly layerable pieces. I can see all of this on ASOS.

Carrie Kwok graduated with a BA in Knitwear Design from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, before going to compete an MA in Womenswear Fashion at Middlesex University before going on work as an intern for Simone Rocha.

Really, would you not just buy pretty much everything here?
