My new fluffy brows are like happy caterpillars.

You may have spied on my Instagram on Sunday that I’d had a new eyebrow treatment done called Brow Lamination. My friend Jen who is also my trusted bikini waxer, is expertly giving guys and guys all over Glasgow the most luscious brows you have ever seen.

When I had my fringe I never saw my eyebrows so I did nothing at all to them but when I grew my fringe out, suddenly they were right there for all to see, I started to pay more attention to them. It’s actually incredible how much a difference your eyebrows make to your face. A barely there, pale or overplucked brow can age you immensely.

My eyebrow care extends getting them threaded, then I shape them with KVD Brow Pomade. Even though I don’t have mega thin eyebrows, I still look really tired without using my brow product. When Jen offered me the treatment I was hesitant as I really couldn’t see what difference could be made to my old eyebrows beyond what I was already doing.

How wrong I was.

I was not prepared for the result. At all.

what is brow lamination i hear you ask

Let me allow Jen to explain in detail what it is:

“Brow lamination, also known as eyebrow perming, is a treatment that involves correcting the brow shape by setting the hairs in place. This corrective eyebrow treatment realigns your brow hairs into your desired position, making them much easier to manipulate. It can also help to achieve fuller , fluffy looking eyebrows using your existing hair. Whether you want to correct your shape, lift the hairs, or fluff the brows up the brow lamination is for you.

All treatments are vegan friendly provided you DO NOT tint as some tinting products are not vegan friendly. It will last between 4-8 wks depending on your own eyebrow aftercare and is completely safe, you do however need a patch test 48 hr before the treatment.

It works by breaking down the protein in your hair allowing the hair to be manipulated into the desired shape, a straightening/flatten product is then applied to give the laminated/fluffy look then finally an oil is applied to add the moisture back into the hair. A tint can also be applied after stage 2, along with any shaping of the brow but this stage is optional”.

the results

The treatment takes about 30 minutes and after it I was blown away. Like seriously blown away. I was stunned by the results. How could these be my eyebrows?! Here are the before and after shots. And please, do take a moment to enjoy my pores up close and personal!
