Orseund Iris is New York label who create clothing not for any specific season. A few weeks ago whilst perusing Net-A Porter, I came across this corset style skirt from the label. At a whopping £795 it comes with pretty hefty price tag. It’s very beautiful no doubt but there are ways to get the look without forking out that kind of money.

You’ve seen my fanlacer corsets on here many times over many years. I bought both on eBay for under £70 each and it’s clearly that style of corset that has inspired this Gamine skirt from Orseund Iris.

If you can’t find a fanlacer corset, then you can opt for a lace up vintage girdle. I picked one up for about £30. Today I’m wearing it over an Isabel Marant skirt and it creates a beautiful effect just worn as a belt. My plan is to replace the suspender attachments with simple D Rings as the fastenings have become rusty with age and are discolouring the elastics to which they’re attached.
