ReFall

As you know Queen Marie and I don’t subscribe to the nowness of collections and seasons. We frequently look back at previous seasons and collections to inspire us in the present. I can find myself going back many years to find inspiration. Today I’m going back only a few years to 2016, to Sacai’s Pre Fall collection.

Oh how I love Chitose Abe’s label. This quintessential Japanese brand will likely never shock us with something different or off piste but if it’s textural layering you’re after then you know you never need to look any further. The Pre Fall 2016 collection provided me the coat I have not stopped thinking about since I saw it and have been stalking eBay to try and find one.

The only way this parka could have been better for me is if the denim had been replaced with army camouflage, then I reckon it would be my dream coat.

But there are so many other beautiful pieces within this collection. Strapped flares, lace jackets, quilting and raw edged denim are but of a few of the highlights in this collection.
