I see you and I raise you...

Following on from Queen Michelle’s post yesterday, today I say -

I see your big sleeves and I raise you some bigger ones in plaid…

It’s not often you come across a collection that has you shouting you out at your screen “Holy Crap that ‘s right up her street”

These Zanini dresses are made for Queen Michelle - just look at the volume and sleeves on these.

The Zanini Spring 20 Collection is all ease and simplicity. Only really cleverly cut clothes can allow for a truly luxurious slouch. Marco Zanini trained at Milan’s Accademia di Belle Arti and honed his skills under appointment at Halston, Rochas, Schiaparelli and Santoni before launching his namesake label in 2019.

Elevated fabrics are integral to Zanini’s designs, followed by colour and then initial sketches, all of which manifest in artfully feminine collections underpinned by rigorous attention to detail – an approach he attributes to his Swedish heritage. The result is relaxed and sartorial wardrobe staples and sophisticated tailoring that feel elegant and poetic in equal measure.

Sadly these dresses are very spendy. You are looking at well over two grand for the top one.

I’m guessing that if the big old fashion merry -go -round ever starts turning again, she might well find an acceptably watered-down version in Zara.

I know I’m not buying anything this year but I would pay good money just to wander around a shop right now touching clothes…
