Eruption...

8 months on from my visit in December and I’m still in thrall to Iceland.

Every time I see a shot that looks like it has been taken there, I am instantly interested.

So needless to say when these latest collection campaign images for Katrine Nexø popped up, I immediately thought, these have been taken in Iceland.

I could be totally wrong and these have been taken nearer to home in Denmark where she lives and works to create this wonderful jewellery.

ERUPTION

The third collection by Katrine Nexø Jewellery, ERUPTION is inspired by the element fire.
Katrine explores and plays with the characteristic duality of the classic element such as darkness and light, stagnation and ferocity, downfall and rebirth.
The collection offers moving, passionate forms and sculptural transformations, communicating themes as breakaway, cleansing and renewal.
The collection is a personal journey in which every piece reflects the understated ferocity of fire and possibility of transformation and renewal – a transformation that occurs in the encounter with the female body

I don’t wear a lot of gold but just look at the sunshine creamy lustre of these pieces below.

Those seaweed earrings are sensational.
