Blooming Marvelous

This bullshit Scottish weather is really beginning to piss me off. It’s pretty much rained the entirety of July and August with some overcast, dry days as the only respite. I need art and fashion more than ever, just to bring some much needed cheer into my lockdown life.

Yiming Yang has brought flowers to life in her stunning graduate collection, entitled Blooming.

The collection was inspired by abstract, fuzzy flowers in paintings. Yiming explains about her collection, “Unlike some highly embroidered beaded flowers in the Haute Couture, this collection's flowers seems much more lighter and more natural. All dresses and flowers have a rough cut design that uses the rough edges of the fabric as part of the design to make the petals and stamen look more realistic”.
