take your time...

Like everything else in the world right now, even time doesn’t seem to be passing in a normal way.

It is both dragging and speeding away at the same time. Some days feel a month long, yet the last year has passed by in a flash. So what better to mark these strange times than a strange watch.

Say hello to the Bauhaus Century watch from Project Watches. Prouduced to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Bauhaus in 2019. But I must confess that I had wry smile when I found this watch.

Bauhaus the school became famous for its approach to design, which attempted to unify the principles of mass production with individual artistic vision and strove to combine aesthetics with everyday function. I dont know about you but I would be embarrassed to tell you just how long it actually took me to figure out the time…

“We value the process, not just the result; the journey, not just the destination. We don't push the boundaries of design, we create them."

Nearly 30 years ago, we set out to make fine art more of an everyday thing to honor and enjoy. Inspired by influences of the past and avant garde concepts of the future, we wanted to build something that celebrated the everyday creator—from artists to architects, designers, engineers, chefs, CEOs and beyond—and empowered them to express themselves creatively every day through wearable works of art.

If I struggled to tell the time on the Bauhaus Century watch, I was baffled by the Diagram 17 Steel 🤣

They are very reasonably priced at around a hundred pounds but I think I had better just stick to telling the time on my phone.
