Ann D/Viod Of Gender

There really isn’t ever an Ann Demeulemeester collection that I don’t love. The brand is masterful at creating seemingly minimal looks that are actually quite involved, featuring lots of interesting silhouettes and key pieces that will simply never date.

The FW2021 Menswear was no exception. Beautifully androgynous looks in monochrome were truly gender-neutral.

The white sleeveless tee has always been a staple for the elegant Belgian label, as has the blazer, but never tailored to look office-y. They maintain a wonderful degree of loucheness, enough to give them a rock ‘n’ roll, Patti Smithesque egde.

Naturally I was inspired so much that I to explore the look myself. Luckily I have no problems finding pieces in my closet to replicate the aesthetic.
