Ben Denzer the artist who brought us the delicious collection of Ice Cream books has turned his gaze to the prestigious world of Hermes and created replica bags made of vegetables

We are often beseeched to ‘eat our greens’ but if we would be in big trouble if we were to try to eat this asparagus number above…

On its official instagram account, Hermès has revealed the unexpected series of Birkin bags made of real vegetables. Three types of bags are currently posted, reinterpreting the iconic bag through creative arrangements of asparagus, cabbage and cucumbers.

They posted the three bags separately, accompanying each with a caption reading -

‘enjoy the detour as classic Hermès bags inspire art good enough to eat’.

On his own instagram, Ben shows the production process of the vegetable bags along with some fruit outtakes, such as a banana and an apple Birkin that didn’t make the final cut.
