Putting a face on it...

We all have many faces.

Different masks we wear for different people. So many versions of ourselves.

Although to be fair, the older you get the fewer masks you feel the need to bother with. You are much more comfortable just being yourself regardless of the company or the situation.

Not all masks are serious. Some are fun and I’m a sucker for them.

My current favourites are by a maker called Maria whose Etsy shop called maha mask sells her wonderful paper mache creations

I can’t really tell you anything about her, other than the fact that she is based in St Petersburg and Berlin and that each piece is handmade and unique.

Each mask has it’s own name, story and unique personality. With her work she is looking to bring enchantment into your home. You know me, ‘enchantment’ is one of my favourite words so I am all in favour of that.

My favourite is Mr Egg below. This would be perfect for my brother David, that boy has never met a fried egg he didn’t love.
