Zero Waste
The fashion narrative began when Cunnington & Sanderson met at the University of Central England, during their Fashion Design Degree, united by a shared love of draping which became the creative foundation of the brand. After graduation the British design duo moved to London. Matthew gained a Masters Degree at the University of Westminster and John gained work experience at two leading fashion houses.
In 2008 Matthew won the Grand Prize of the fashion Jury at the International Festival de mode et photographie, in Hyeres, France.
Returning the year later Cunnington & Sanderson presented their debut catwalk show entitled 'mourning weeds' which was also presented at Milan Fashion Week and Brussels Fashion Week.
Highlights from the luxury womenswear brand include winning the On|Off Landrover Visionary Award in London, presenting Catwalk shows at Paris and Milan Fashion Week and exhibiting at London Fashion Week, Barcelona, and at International festival de mode et photographie in Hyeres France.
The label is zero waste and filly comotted to being sustainable in every way . The prices most certainly reflect it, with a skirt costing around £500 and a dress between £600 - £700. So a big outlay but I’d hope the pieces would be of quality enough to last for a very, very long time. It’s not enough just to pay for a brand’s commitment to sustainability, you have to know you’re getting an item that is such great quality it will last for decades.
Queen Marie should buy the yellow top, which is on sale for £195, to go with her 100% real yellow Prada bag! Just sayin’…
