Gimme Some Skin

I haven’t really been very interested in fashion lately. My entire focus has been on my new snowboarding adventure and the only things I have bought in the last few months have been related to that and also the only kind of things I have been looking at. I’ve been absorbed in goggles, helmet, boots and boards!

However, I did want to share these stunning leather wallets and bags by British label Atelier Skin. I don’t think I need explain why I love them so much.

With a self taught skill set, the designer focuses on the exploration of form, tone, and texture, highlighting the effects of time and imperfections found within the careful selection of materials.

Inspired by origami and geometry, the forms are designed based on the relationship between the angle and the natural grain of the material. Each piece is cut by hand using vegetable tanned leathers, designed to become more beautiful over time, with an artisanal touch of hand brewed natural dye treatments highlighting the uniqueness in each piece.
