Prince B and Saint Peregrine...

It dawned on me this week that not everyone uses instagram, so might be unaware of the hellish struggle that Queen Michelle and her beloved consort Prince B have been going through this past awful month.

There is no easy way to say it. He has been diagnosed with lung cancer behind his sternum and is awaiting a biopsy to find out the best way to treat it. They are both determined to fight it every step of they way and already have plans for all of the exciting adventures they will have once he is better.

Queen Michelle has been sharing news on her instagram. Please see copy of her post below. Please join with us in sending prayers and healing thoughts welcome, to Saint Peregrine and out into every corner of the Universe.

All our love is with them.

Hey friends. Wanted to give you a little cancer update in case any of you were wondering. So Prince B got his PET scan last week which confirmed what the CT scan said, which is he has a 5.5cm tumour on his lung, just behind his sternum. But from what they can tell, the cancer hasn’t spread. They haven’t staged it yet, but if it hasn’t spread then I reckon that puts it around Stage IIB or there abouts. He gets his biopsy in 8 days which will give us more information about the type of cancer and how to treat it. The consultant has expressed the likelihood of it being a combination of radiotherapy and chemotherapy as it doesn’t seem like surgery is an option sadly due to his age, health and where the tumour is.

My own mental health is taking a pounding. I cry every single day, without fail. I’m desperately trying to find ways to distract myself - snowboarding for example (which isn’t going well) - but it’s a struggle. Prince B however is nothing short of a fucking legend. He’s had two chest infections in the last month, which meant he couldn’t go to work, but he’s gone back to work now. He’s not sitting around worrying about it, in fact he’s 100% positive he’s going to win this battle. Not winning isn’t even an option he’s considering. He’s a rock star. We’ve even applied for our passports so we can go abroad to recuperate when he’s done with treatment.

The journey here has been odd. He finally got the doctors to give him a CT scan after 2 years of weight loss and breathlessness but since all the X-rays kept coming back clear they didn’t pursue cancer as a cause (turns out the tumour was hidden behind his sternum) but a month ago he started coughing up blood. So he got another X-ray and that still came back clear and it was only the specialist who still suspected cancer because all the other symptoms screamed cancer, so she ordered the CT scan which confirmed it. But what’s weird is that the coughing up blood actually was just a random chest infection and nothing to do with cancer. If he hadn’t had that chest infection, they would never have discovered the cancer until it was too late. So we’re are believing the Universe is looking after us.
