Coming And Going

Even though winter is only just creeping upon us now, I still can't help get but caught up with the spring/summer 14 hoopla, evoked by the shows so far. I've literally just bought my first wool jumper of the season but I'm already off thinking summer florals and whites. of course, when I leave the house in the morning I'm hit with the reality of the weather, which dictates I focus on warm layers and a wool scarf rather than flirty florals and breezy whites.

Accessories however I feel can be indulged in all year round, regardless of season. In particular, I'm talking about handbags. Handbags are for life not just for a season, even though the fashion industry would prefer us to think otherwise of course. I have handbags I bought many years ago, such as my Chloe Paddington, which I still love even now. Of all the things in my wardrobe, handbags definitely have the most staying power. Needless to say, they are also the biggest 'investment' pieces I buy.

When Danielle Foster sent me her lovely new SS14 lookbook, I already started wondering how I could introduce one these creations into my wardrobe. I managed to gloss over the fact I'm saving up for a new Canon camera and will have pretty much no money for plastic bags, never mind beautiful leather ones. Still, the female brain is a wonderful thing and in mine I have millions of disposible income.

Danielle's bags for SS14 continue in the same vein as previous seasons with sharp, minimal designs, in black, a luscious tan, croc embossed silver and a beautiful bright white. Overall, the bags are much more graphic than previous seasons.
