So it looks like things are going to be silky and shiny shiny shiny this coming spring over at Barbara Bui.

Oh my goodness this was super slick latex in the kind of "off" colours that makes things more interesting...

As well as liquid lakes of pvc there was also a whole lot of almost neon coloured satin. It felt a little like an episode of Miami Vice. But the 80's never fails to appeals to the young people.

Bui clothes are never an easy wear. You need a very specific body type and attitude to carry them off with aplomb. For me the winners were the Marabou bomber jackets with baseball sleeves. Fun, youthful and whole lot less tricky than all that plastic...
