J.W.Anderson is one of my favourite designers. His quirky sensibilities produce something absolutely drool-worthy each and every season. It's him we have to thank for much of the gingham pieces you found in Zara last year, and the Pierce bag which is on many bloggers' wishlists.

Last year I took the plunge and purchased his knee high ruffle boots, which I'd been wanting since I first saw them, and was devastated to find they didn't fit my stupid ballet calves and had to go back. I also bought one of his ruffled skirts at the same time, to go with the boots, but that went back because the boots went back. So much sadness.

My latest J.W.Anderson piece on my lust list are these stunning ballerina inspired shoes with a conical metal heel. Wowzers! The leather ribbons, the croc embossed leather and, of course, that heel. I would wear and love these every single day. If you listen very carefully you'll hear the distant sound of justification...

When you want something so expensive the brain quickly starts to scheme ways to get it. Just need to find a client who needs some design work and can pay me in these shoes...
