glitter like the guys...

It's not often a menswear show fills you with longing for your own wardrobe.

But then the COMME des GARÇONS HOMME SS18 was no ordinary show.

Sequins, glitter wigs and bright colourful shining lights, at times it looked like Rei was taking us to the disco...

Some are saying that Rei was inspired but the glitz and the glamour of The Met Ball earlier in the year. I'm just thinking that like the rest of us, she is so tired of all the darkness and sadness in the world right now, that she decided to create a collection to put a smile on out faces and some joy in our hearts. Nothing does that like sequins!!!!

Models donned glittery colorful wigs, baby doll decorations as well as shiny sequin tops and bottoms. Eye-catching apparel items include two-toned blazers with animal patterns embellished on the forearm sections, tapered trousers with gold lining fabric as well as cotton cargo shorts fitted with oversized pockets.

I would seriously have no problems with any of the guys I know wearing some sequin shorts but I'm guessing that instead they would be more captivated by the feet and the possibility of the new CDG x Air Max 180 silhouette as observed sauntering down that Parisian runway. The alleged, collaborative trainers were showcased in white/pink/orange as well as pink/light gray colorways.

The last couple of looks were a little more disturbing, models with dismembered dolls and toys sewn into them. They were more than a little nightmarish and I have no idea what she was trying to say with those. No idea at all...

If it's all right with you dolllface, I'm just going to stick to the shiny happy sequins
