It's tool time...

The inexorable house clearing continues.

At the weekend I was gathering together all of my dads gardening tools which seemed to be on the top of every cupboard and in every drawer. The man never met a pair of secateurs he didn’t like.

So naturally, I laughed and immediately thought of him when I read that the Finnish heritage tool manufacturer Fiskars has made it’s the first foray into fashion with a collection of "modern garden-wear staples".

The 11-piece clothing designed by Maria Korkeilla was presented as part of the Pitti Uomo menswear collection earlier this month in Florence.

It features multi-functional, unisex fashion and accessories, including a jacket with stab-proof pockets whose sleeves, hem and hood can be detached to turn it into a vest, and a tool belt that can be converted into a bum bag.

“All Fiskars products are modern by way of tradition, like the iconic Fiskars orange-handled scissors. This is the design DNA I wanted to bring into the capsule collection as well.”

Crafted from organic and recycled materials and vegan leather, the collection showcases bold, nature-inspired prints in a down-to-earth colour scheme. All the pieces have been made by socially responsible suppliers, which also played a big part in bringing the collection to life.

I love these outdoor shots.

Absolutely love them
