Flip 'n' Switch

Anyone reading this blog for 10 years or more will be familiar with my small collection of vintage girdles, two of which are utterly glorious fanlacers. Designed to cinch in the waist and hips, I have nearly always used them as belts. But I explored a new way to wear my largest one recently - as a corset. I simply turned it back to front and it makes a beautiful corset. Not a functioning one of course as it can’t be made tight enough around the waist and hips, but it creates a magnificent silhouette.
