Swampgirl Pottery are giving me both 🙂
It’s the creation of Carol Myers a ceramic artist from Louisiana in the deep south ( hence the name)
She set out for the hustle and bustle of Manhattan and living in NYC helped her grow as an artist.
In Manhattan she worked in the photography industry….researcher, editor, studio owner, and ultimately agency owner and rep. Her photographers & stylists specialized in food photography, so she started making pottery pieces for the photo shoots and each time she brought pieces, the stylists would buy them all!
Then several years ago she moved to California and is now a full time ceramic artist.
My pottery line is an unlikely marriage of primitivism and midcentury modernism. All my pieces are made by hand, and are organic in nature, with unique variations that make each piece one of a kind.
