Plant Feet...

I always think of Camper as a kind of marmite brand.

You either love them or you really don’t like them.

No surprise that I adore them.

My Dad always used to say that they made shoes for hippies and Geography teachers. Sounds like a damm fine recommendation to me.

Now they are making big steps to tread more lightly upon the earth with the introduction of MIRUM® Brought to us for the first time in their Summer collection, the high-performance MIRUM® is a durable plant-based, plastic-free material created by Natural Fiber Welding.

Adopting the logic that renewable plant sources grow abundantly on the earth, Natural Fiber Welding set out to develop a plant-based material with zero plastics or synthetic fibers.

Made from all-natural materials like coconut husk, rice hull, rubber, and cork, the unique composition of MIRUM® makes it sustainable and circular, meaning a product can be disassembled and recycled at the end of its life.

Camper explain that from their home in Mallorca they see the ever-growing and catastrophic problems that plastic pollution has on the seas, marine life and ecosystems. This has helped to drive them in the search for a more earth kind solution.

Now I don’t know about you but running about with plant feet rather than plastic feet sounds very appealing to me.
