Shharing Pretty Jewels

I don’t think I’m understating when I say I’m obsessed with the beautiful beaded confections by SHH by Sadie, created by Welsh designer Sadie Hawker. Maybe it’s the fact spring is around the corner which, in turn, means summer isn’t too far away, but Sadie’s cheerful, beaded bracelets and necklaces are calling out to me. So bright and happy. They have a childlike quality to them that would make any wrist, ear or neckline at least 85% cheerier.

Sadies’ search for well-made statement pieces ultimately led her to make her own jewellery whilst living in New Zealand. It quickly grew into an obsession, and she was soon stocked in several cool, independent stores across the country. She returned back to Wales and now we in the UK can partake of her colourful pieces too. Her designs reflect her own love of playful, colourful statement jewellery that will last longer than one season and be mixed and matched for years to come. She uses traditional bead looming techniques, crystals and chains to create her pieces, and hunts down limited stashes of vintage beads, chains and embellishments.

I just want one of everything, where do I even start! The leopard print is so fantastic I might begin there. But the pastel pieces remind me of these bracelets I had when I was a little girl in the 70’s so those are calling out to me too. Either way, by the end of the week I think there is a solid chance of a bracelet being bought for sure.
