Life on Mars...

Glastonbury is back.

Back to celebrate their 50th birthday after a two year break thanks to Covid. With the youngest ever and oldest ever headliners in the form of Billie Elilish and Paul McCartney taking to the stage, we hope they have a birthday bash to remember.

I know that Queen Michelle has very fond memories of Glastonbury in her youth, although I confess I have never been.

Bowie played there twice, away back in 1971 and again in 2000 in what was considered one of the most iconic Glastonbury sets in it’s long history.

Tatty Devine have resissued some of their favourite pieces from their Tatty Devine x Bowie collection including the Life on Mars brooch…

Tatty Devine capture the unforgettable aesthetic of David Bowie in their range created in collaboration with the David Bowie archive. This playful brooch celebrates Bowie’s 1973 single, with a rose gold mirror rocket and a shimmering gold star set against a marbled Martian landscape. All Tatty Devine jewellery is designed and made in the UK, and each piece in this range is etched with an official Tatty Devine X David Bowie logo.

All of the pieces from the collection are wonderful and the make up in the campaign images is bang on the money. Just look at the glorious blue eyeshadow in that shot above.

My favourite piece has to be the ‘Suffragette City’ necklace below.

Is all this talk of Bowie and Glastonbury enough to make me want to go there for real?

I have to say no. I know my limits. I need immediate access to tea and clean toilets…
