Knock Knock...
When I was visiting with our dear chum Sandra recently, I was captivated by her bumblebee door knocker.
My own front door is a tragically dull white pvc number with not a knocker in sight.
Maybe if I were to add something wonderful to the front, more good things and adventures would come a knocking.
Goes without saying that I would love it to be an Adams and Mack one.
Their door knockers are created to be as beautiful as they are functional. Quality Caftmanship. Created by Hand and based in Devon, they are crafted using the ancient method of sand casting
“We have a background in casting and are no strangers to the ins and outs of making intricate pieces in metal, so we thought… why not create our own knocker? A door knocker that is as beautiful as it is functional, a piece of art that sits naturally between your home and the outside world. And so, we created our first design Amaris, our salmon. It worked perfectly and, after many admiring comments, we decided to develop a range of original designs for others to enjoy.
Our door knockers are sculptures, as beautiful as they are functional. They’re an expression of your character, a personal signature for your door. Every door knocker we create is truly unique with a story of its own. It is made with genuine care and love. We hope this passion comes across in every piece we develop and carries over to your home for years to come.”
They come in a range of finishes. Not sure which one I like best to be honest.
It’s not every day you have an otter or a daschund chapping your front door.
My absolute favourite is this dragon one below. I think all the tai chi and qigong I have been doing lately must be having an impact on me…
