Eat the rainbow

Hello.

It’s been way too long since I’ve posted.

I’ve been up in Fife for a break with our Frances and her new puppy Elmo. One if the best and the worst things about being up there is that there I struggle to get a phone signal and my internet is spotty to say the least.

So all of my best intentions about trying to post while I was away came to naught.

I cannot believe where the year has gone and it seems impossible that we are already in December and Christmas is looming on the horizon. I think it’s yet another sign of age, that it seems to come around faster and faster. This year especially it has sneaked high up behind me and totally bit me on the arse.

A wonderful present doesn’t need to cost the earth. It just needs to be thoughtful, useful and fun. So say hello to Ark Colour Design. where British design ‘eats the rainbow’. Ark Colour Design was founded in 2015 by Jane Richards and Amy Lindsay. As buyers for our own shop in Cambridge, we have over a decades worth of experience in the gift trade. Drawing from our backgrounds in fashion and fine art, we set about creating products which are fun and affordable, but also well made.

All our products are made by a small family run manufacturer in Scotland. The leather is processed in their on site tannery and then cut and foil embossed to our designs. Because every piece is hand finished with embossing, each one is unique to the next.
