In a very surprising announcement, it seems like the time has come to kiss Raf Simons goodbye

Not the man himself but the iconic label that bears his name.

After 27 influential years he has said he is closing the doors. He took to social media platform Instagram to announce the news, explaining that the brand's latest Spring/Summer 2023 show that took place in October at clubbing venue Printworks, London, would be its last…

There has been no reason given for closing the label. Many are thinking it could simply be the challenging financial climate all labels find themselves in right now or perhaps he just wants to devote all his time to Prada

No one saw that one coming either in 2020 either when he joined forces with Miuccia Prada. I can’t imagine that she is ready to retire but stranger things have happened, he may be getting ready to sit in the big chair.

Or perhaps given how punishing the schedule of producing 4 collections for Prada and two for his own label must surely be, he just needs a bit of a break.
