Hot rocks...

Much as I adore crystals and I do, I really really do.

I am always aware of their fragile nature, taking care not to bash into things in case they shatter. You need not have any such concern if you were wearing a HOTROCKS creation from the very wonderful Rockhound.

Each piece is actually made from sterling silver and then plated in a glorious coating which comes in ten luscious colours…

Each form in this collection is taken from natural Quartz crystals. Utilising our gemmological knowledge, each quartz crystal has been handpicked as an exquisite example of their trigonal crystal system and highlights the various habits they can be found in. A singular crystal wand with horizontal striations running the length of alternate sides, clusters of perfectly formed hexagonal prisms capped by pyramids or a row of perfectly twinned crystals are all evident, you just need to choose which one!

A mould is created from the crystal and then it is cast in recycled silver, this process ensures the retention of every subtle detail. As the metal is opaque the focus is on the outer surface which encapsulates the inherent natural beauty of crystallography. Yum yum yum
